The proposed identity for the Umbrella Project
A little shade.
A larger purpose.
A place to gather. A canvas for community. A public invitation to protect the innocent and stand for a fairer future.
Powered by ASHÉ Sanctuary & Empowerment FoundationWe make room.
We show up.
An umbrella is a simple promise: there is room for you here.
We carry that promise into our neighborhood through art, shared spaces, and conversations that reach beyond the afternoon.
We believe children deserve protection, families deserve to be heard, and public systems deserve informed, persistent attention.
We invite Oakland’s artists and neighbors to give those beliefs a visible form. One wall. One gathering. One conversation at a time.
A wall with
something to say.
The Oakland mural is a proposed collaboration around the ASHÉ Umbrella Project identity, community protection, and collective creativity.
All images remain concepts. Painting depends on property-owner permission, measured boundaries, and site and safety review.
